Welcome to my e-Portfolio! I'm excited to share with you my passion to empower others to create healthier lifestyles. I have worked as a community dietitian for over 6 years in both North Carolina and abroad. Since starting my job at Partnership for Community Care (P4CC), I have provided medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to Medicaid and uninsured patients battling chronic diseases in the forms of one-on-one consultations and group classes. Because many of the patients at P4CC receive SNAP/EBT (food stamps), I empower my patients to eat healthier on a budget. I co-manage the Partnership Healthy Food Bank Program and through this program have provided workshops to helped promote healthier food donations throughout Guilford, Randolph and Rockingham County. I am passionate about teaching those with minimal resources how to better manage their chronic disease through diet. Through my graduate school work, I focused on food insecurity by evaluating the healthy food pantry in order to determine its effectiveness.
